ART vs. REHAB

This page features details of, and audio recordings from ART vs. REHAB, a seminar to explore explore and provoke relationships between art and mental health.

The seminar was part of the LCACE (London Centre for Arts and Cultural Exchange) Inside Out Festival 2010, a university initiative promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise with the capital’s arts and cultural sectors.

It was hosted by The Centre for Creative Collaboration, an initiative of the University of London working in collaboration with the Central School of Speech and Drama, Goldsmiths University of London and Royal Holloway University of London, which supports new types of collaboration using the principles of open innovation.

ART vs. REHAB was devised and led by public artist and consultant Hannah Hull.

The proceedings included presentations by Hannah Hull, occupational therapist Jacqueline Ede (Occupation Arts) and artist / archivist David Clegg (Trebus Projects).

The presentations were followed by an extended audience discussion, facilitated by teacher / facilitator Paddy Gormley (Words in Action) and illustrated by artist Jo Buchan.

The audio recordings (right) were made by Paddy Gormley, who is also kindly hosting this page within his Unknown Voices website.
